Bilingual Leasing Agent (Santa Rosa, CA)
LHH is teaming up with an established non-profit in the property management industry in search of a temporary Leasing Agent. This is a wonderful opportunity to help support an organization whose mission is to provide safe and affordable housing to those in need.
This role’s main responsibilities are to contact applicants, conduct intake interviews, and put together files for review.
The ideal candidate has a customer service mindset. They are polite, empathetic, patient, and have an interest or experience in the Property Management or Real Estate industries. Bilingual abilities in Spanish/English, a high school diploma, and at least 1 years’ experience in administrative/office work is required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous and pleasant phone assistance to callers
- Welcome and greet applicants, residents, and vendors
- Support marketing efforts by handling mailing of marketing materials and tracking marketing initiatives
- Conduct tours for prospective tenants
- Accept and review rental applications, ensuring completeness and legibility
- Assist in entering pre-applications into the waitlist software system
- Initiate contact with waitlisted applicants for vacant units and track responses
- Schedule certification appointments and gather necessary data for applicant certification
- Manage the application background screening and approval process
- Receive and process resident work orders, maintaining the Work Order Logbook
- Prepare and deliver general notices for the Community Manager as required
- Collect rent payments and security deposits under the Community Manager's supervision
- Organize and store relevant documentation in resident files
- Coordinate resident social functions and communications
- Additional tasks, as reasonably assigned
Skills/Experience:
- Bilingual: English/Spanish required
- High School Diploma and at least 1 year of experience in an administrative/office setting required
- Experience in the Non-Profit, Property Management, or Real Estate industries strongly preferred
- Customer service experience strongly preferred
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
Job Type: Contract (expected duration of at least 2 months)
Worksite Type: 100% On-Site in Santa Rosa, CA
Pay Rate: $24-$28/hour, depending on experience
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan. Our program provides employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.
