HR Coordinator
Location: West Sacramento, CA

Position Overview
The organization is seeking an HR Coordinator to support day-to-day human resources operations within a highly organized, process-driven, and service-oriented environment. This role focuses on HR administrative support, data accuracy, benefits coordination, and HRIS maintenance. Responsibilities
Provide general HR administrative support, including onboarding and offboarding, personnel file maintenance, employee document creation, and employment verification requests
Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS, process change-of-status forms, and reconcile benefits invoices against system records
Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, terminations, qualifying life events, and COBRA documentation
Manage the HR calendar, support budgeting-related tasks, process incoming mail, and assist with accounting and benefits reconciliations
Support recruitment activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, and applicant communication
Maintain organizational charts and respond to HR help-desk inquiries
Coordinate meetings and events, including logistics, audiovisual needs, and catering, with support for large staff events
Support employee engagement initiatives and internal HR communications
Provide data entry, reporting assistance, and general HR customer service support
Conduct internal reference checks as part of the hiring process
Preferred Background
Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate degree required
1–2 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or administrative support
Experience in government, education, nonprofit, or association settings is a plus
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
Strong emphasis on organization, attention to detail, data accuracy, and adherence to established processes
Works closely with HR leadership, HR coordination staff, and HRIS support
Prior HRIS experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided
Must be comfortable working with forms, structured workflows, and confidential information

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
