Customer Service Representative
Location: Wall Township, NJ Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time 8am to 4:30pm Pay Rate: $24.00 – $31.00/hour (Based on experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role serves as the primary point of contact between customers and internal departments, ensuring a smooth and responsive customer experience. The ideal candidate will manage purchase orders, provide order status updates, and support on-time delivery of products and services. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Process customer purchase orders, changes, and status updates
Ensure on-time product delivery and communicate any delays
Audit customer order data and line-of-balance reports
Prepare recovery schedules and escalate issues as needed
Participate in internal and external status meetings
Support customer performance metrics and forecast discussions
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure compliance with order requirements
Assist in resolving pricing, invoicing, and delivery discrepancies
Provide support for quotes, warranty tracking, and order documentation
Maintain confidentiality on sensitive projects and customer contracts
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Associate degree or equivalent certification preferred
3+ years of experience in customer service account management, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment
Experience with MRP systems is a plus
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic proficiency in calculating discounts, percentages, and pricing
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and correspondence
Comfortable presenting information to internal teams and customers
Attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
