Payroll Accountant

Location: Tukwila, WA | Onsite
Our client located in Tukwila, WA is adding a Payroll Accountant as a newly created role to support expansion and reduce workload on the finance team. This role is contract for 3 Months and fully onsite. This role does not offer conversion for a permanent hire and is only targeting candidates open to contract work.
What You’ll Do
  • Own prevailing wage payroll (calculations, filings, and submissions)
  • Handle construction project billing
  • Support AP/AR alongside bookkeepers
  • Work in QuickBooks and partner closely with finance leadership
What We’re Looking For
  • Construction industry experience (required)
  • Hands-on prevailing wage ownership experience
  • Experience with construction billing
  • 3–7 years of accounting/payroll experience
  • Accounting degree preferred
  • Strong accounting fundamentals
Work Environment
  • Fully onsite in Tukwila
  • Small, collaborative team (45-65 employees)
  • High-impact role with visibility and ownership


Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
