Commercial & Business Litigation Paralegal


Position Overview

The Commercial/Business Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys handling complex commercial and business litigation matters. This role is highly involved in every stage of the litigation process, from case inception through trial preparation and hearing support.

This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented, proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys handling substantial responsibility in case management.


Key Responsibilities

Document Drafting & File Management

  • Draft, revise, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and related litigation documents.

  • Maintain and organize both electronic and physical case files for accuracy, accessibility, and compliance.

  • Assemble exhibits, appendices, and supporting documentation as needed.

Discovery Support

  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.

  • Summarize depositions and document productions for attorney review.

  • Assist with organizing large‑scale document sets and managing deadlines.

Trial & Hearing Preparation

  • Prepare trial binders, exhibit lists, witness materials, and related trial documentation.

  • Coordinate logistics for depositions, hearings, and trial schedules.

  • Support witness preparation and assist the legal team at trial.

Case Management & Administrative Support

  • Track litigation deadlines and manage case calendars.

  • Maintain detailed case chronologies and factual summaries.

  • Provide ongoing administrative and legal support throughout the lifecycle of each matter.

Legal & Factual Research

  • Conduct research on case law, statutes, and related authorities.

  • Compile findings to support motion practice, briefs, and general litigation strategy.


Interview Process

The interview process is streamlined and transparent:

  1. Initial Interview with the current paralegals

  2. Final Interview with a senior partner

No extensive panels. No drawn-out timelines.


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in commercial or business litigation.

  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery processes, and trial preparation.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation support tools; experience with document review platforms is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a growing office environment.
