Accounts Payable Processor

Position Responsibilities:
· Process vendor invoices and vouchers for payment accurately and timely, ensuring proper documentation and authorization in accordance with company accounting procedures and policies.
· Handle vendor credits and match return to vendor (RTV) paperwork provided by the Procurement and Shipping departments.
· Communicate with the Procurement department regarding all invoice discrepancies and resolve these issues with vendors.
· Prepare journal entries for accrued expenses and adjustment entries to correct posting errors.
· Reconcile vendor statements along with accrued receipts reporting.
· Research past due statements/invoices from vendors and assist vendors and other departments regarding the status of payments.
· Manage vendor relationships by building effective partnerships.
· Process electronic T&E transactions in the ERP system.
· Assist with month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing of the General Ledger.
· Provide general accounting support, including filing, opening, sorting, scanning, and distributing mail, as well as filing paid vouchers.
· Assist with various special projects as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Three to five years of experience in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
· Experience related to a manufacturing and/or retail environment.
· Knowledge of ERP systems is highly preferred.
· Knowledge of accounts payable functions related to invoice processing.
· Advanced personal computer skills, including MS Excel spreadsheet and MS Word processing software; 10-key by touch.
· Clear verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical skills; excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers.
· Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and strong organizational skills.
· Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively, and positively
· Pay Rate: $32 - $37 per hour
