Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a Seattle law firm to find a Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team! The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of litigation experience in both Washington state and federal courts, and will be a proactive self-starter with strong organizational and document management skills. This role will support attorneys with a variety of administrative tasks including case and matter management, client billing, calendaring, travel coordination, and tracking deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and internal communications
- Manage e-filing in Washington State and federal courts; ensure compliance with court rules and litigation procedures
- Maintain and organize client files and correspondence using a document management system
- Coordinate attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and handle related logistics
- Support billing processes: enter time, prepare monthly invoices, track expenses, and process reimbursements
- Assist with business development tasks and legal research using internal resources
- Open new matters, perform conflict checks, and help onboard new clients
- Book domestic and international travel and prepare related documentation
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations and provide backup support when needed
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in a legal assistant or administrative support role, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment
- Solid understanding of litigation processes and Washington State court systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365; experience with iManage, Elite 3E, Adobe Acrobat, Concur, and Intapp is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under deadlines
- Proactive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
- A high school diploma is required; a degree or certificate from a business or administrative program is preferred
