Senior Accountant
Joining this San Francisco Bay Area organization will allow the new Senior Accountant to make real, tangible impacts with a recognized and industry leading company that’s earned a reputation for innovation and artist-driven business. Working within a growing entertainment organization, the Senior Accountant will support multi-entity accounting across operations, multiple currencies, and a modern tech stack built for scale. Reporting to a tenured Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will collaborate closely across business units to keep financial reporting accurate, GAAP compliant, and audit-ready, especially where intercompany activity and consolidations add complexity
Success in this Senior Accountant position comes from owning the close calendar, protecting data integrity, and improving how workflows across systems and stakeholders, not just getting the work done. Key responsibilities include:
Preparing journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries in accordance with GAAP
Leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and supporting financial reporting schedules
Maintaining balance sheet support and completing thorough account reconciliations across key accounts
Reconciling financial activity across multiple accounting and reporting systems to ensure accuracy and completeness
Partnering cross-functionally with finance, people operations, and legal teams to ensure proper coding, approvals, and reliable data flow
Driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and internal control enhancements using spreadsheets and financial systems
