LHH is partnering with an established healthcare organization that is actively seeking a Healthcare Customer Service Specialist to join their San Diego team! In this vital role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients and providers, handling high volumes of inbound calls, routing inquiries to the appropriate clinical staff, conducting follow-ups, and keeping records accurate and organized.

Position Details
  • Type: Contract-to-Hire
  • Pay: $24.00/hour
  • Location: Onsite in San Diego, CA (Mission Valley)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
  • Opportunity to work hybrid after contract period

Responsibilities:
  • Answer a high volume of inbound calls with empathy and professionalism
  • Provide accurate information and assistance to patients, members, and healthcare professionals
  • Transfer calls to appropriate clinical or administrative staff when necessary
  • Conduct outbound follow-up calls for reminders or updates
  • Document all interactions and maintain accurate records in EPIC
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational privacy standards
  • Collaborate with team members to meet service level goals and enhance patient experience

Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of call center or customer service experience (healthcare a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
  • Detail-oriented with strong data accuracy
  • Reliable and passionate about helping others and delivering top-tier service
