A leading manufacturer in the packaging industry is hiring an experienced Master Electrician to support operations in a fast-paced, heavy industrial setting. This facility values safety, innovation, and keeping systems running with maximum reliability.
About the Role
This hands-on position focuses on installation, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of electrical infrastructure, including power distribution, motor controls, automation systems, and safety circuits. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role helps ensure minimal downtime and smooth daily operations across all production areas.
What you'll do:
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, MCCs, VFDs, switchgear, and control panels
- Maintain and optimize PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and DCS systems
- Support converting equipment: rewinders, slitters, embossers, robotics, and packaging lines
- Perform arc flash assessments, LOTO procedures, and ensure NEC/NFPA 70E compliance
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance using CMMS (SAP/Maximo)
- Document schematics, wiring diagrams, and system updates
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of industrial electrical experience (pulp & paper preferred)
- Strong automation and controls knowledge—PLC programming a big plus
- Master Electrician license (or ability to obtain within a set timeframe)
- Comfortable with MV/LV power systems and high-speed production environments
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and electrical codes
