Job title: Accounting Manager
Job Summary The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and account reconciliations. This role involves managing daily accounting functions, overseeing audits, and implementing process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Will lead a team of 5 and be responsible for all receivables, aging reports, and GL accuracy.
Duties
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and produce reports in a timely manner
Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy.
Maintain and enforce the organization’s accounting policies and procedures.
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Provide financial insights and variance analyses to leadership.
Coordinate and support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
Skill Requirements
Must-Have Requirements:
Accounting experience in a supervisory role within a sizable institution
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Knowledge of GAAP
Strong skills in Financial Reporting and Account Reconciliations
Ability to oversee audits and implement process improvements
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with budgeting processes
Familiarity with products and services
Strong interpersonal skills
