Sales Development Specialist (Temporary Assignment)

Job Summary
The Sales Development Specialist will provide temporary coverage for the Sales Development team supporting key workflows that ensure smooth sales operations. This role focuses on special order procurement, government and custom package coordination, RFQ (Request for Quotation) management, and back-office support for key accounts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, skilled in SAP and Excel, and comfortable managing high‑volume email communications through Zendesk.
In simple terms:
This position helps the sales team handle special orders, organize customer requests, prepare bids, and manage a heavy flow of emails.
Key Responsibilities
Process and support special order procurements and purchasing requests.
Assist in preparing and organizing RFQs, bids, and proposals for internal teams and external clients.
Manage government and custom order packages, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Provide back-office support for key accounts, including data entry, documentation, and order updates.
Use SAP to track and manage order information, pricing, and procurement status.
Handle high-volume email communication through Zendesk, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups.
Collaborate with sales team members, procurement teams, and customer support staff.
Support internal employees and customers via phone as needed.
Maintain accurate records and support team projects as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Haves)
Demonstrated procurement or purchasing experience
Proficiency in SAP (order management, procurement workflows, or similar modules)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, data organization)
Experience managing high-volume email communication, preferably using Zendesk or similar platforms
Preferred Qualifications
Experience handling customer or employee phone inquiries
Familiarity with RFQ/Bid/RFP processes
Prior experience in a sales support, customer service, or procurement environment
Pay Details: $24.00 to $25.00 per year
