We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Director for our client, a growing and stable locally owned business. As the Director of HR, you will serve as a strategic business partner, working closely with the Owners and Executive Team on a daily basis. You will be highly integrated into business operations, touching all facets of HR while leading a team of 3 and initiatives focused on culture management and development. The HR operations cover approximately 400 employees. This role will be 100% on-site in Portland, OR. Our client offers an amazing company culture, 3 weeks of PTO, competitive 401K match and profit sharing.

Top Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of three within HR Operations.

  • Partner with the executive team to develop and implement HR strategies that drive organizational growth.

  • Oversee the administration of HR programs, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, training, and performance management.

  • Promote professional development, training, and certification opportunities for HR staff.

  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements and organizational policies.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated management experience with 5+ years of HR experience

  • Experience supporting both hourly and corporate employees

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or similar field

  • PHR/SHRM certifications preferred

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization and influence decision-makers.

  • Proficiency with modern HRIS and talent management systems

  • Experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment is a plus
