Note: You must reside on one of the Hawaiian Islands in order to be considered.
What You'll Be Doing
- Reviewing medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures.
- Organize all work to ensure that records are coded in timeframes consistent with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, Uni.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years, within the last 5 years, of continuous hospital experience in coding/abstracting required.
- Minimum 2 years as a certified coder required.
- Certified Coding Associate (CCA), Eligibility for Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) required.
- Ability to understand the clinical content of a health record required.
- Ability to communicate with physicians in order to clarify diagnoses/procedures and sequencing of diagnoses required.
Work Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM M-F HST
Job Type: Contract-to-hire & Full-time (40 hrs/wk)
Pay Details: $35.00 to $38.00 per hour
