Job Description: Trust Accountant
Location: Orange, CA Type: Long-term Temporary
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Trust Accountant to assist in the timely and accurate accounting of company resources. This role involves preparing reconciliations of trust balance sheet accounts, generating financial statements, reconciling client accounts, and producing management reports as needed.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and enter journal entries into the general ledger system.
Analyze and reconcile subsidiary ledgers, handling very large datasets.
Ensure select trust GL and client accounts are balanced, reconciled, and appropriately classified.
Maintain subsidiary ledger trust accounts in balance with their related GL control accounts.
Provide support for annual accounting audits.
Prepare financial statements and analytical reports as needed.
Collaborate with the Finance System Team and IT to ensure systems function correctly through UAT, data analysis, and reconciliation.
Perform other business tasks or functions as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Five years or more of experience in GL account analysis and reconciliation, client account analysis and reconciliation, and journal entry processing.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking abilities.
Ability to manage extremely large data sets.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access.
Experience with Great Plains is a plus.
BA/BS in a Accounting & Finance or business-related field is required.
Work Schedule:
Hybrid: 2 days in the office, 3 days remote.
Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
