Office Manager
Location: Onsite – Oakland, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25 – $27 per hour (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations at our Oakland Medical Office. The ideal candidate will have previous office management experience and feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment serving the homeless population. This role is essential to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and supporting our team in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily administrative operations and maintain office organization
Welcomes incoming patients and directs to appointments and update demographics
Oversee scheduling, supply inventory, and facility coordination
Handle communication with vendors, service providers, and internal departments
Support shelter staff with documentation, reporting, and data management
Ensure compliance with shelter policies, procedures, and record-keeping standards
Provide a welcoming, professional, and respectful front office presence for all staff, clients, and visitors
Assist leadership with special projects, reports, and operational improvements as needed
Qualifications:
Prior office management experience (required)
Comfortable working directly with individuals experiencing homelessness
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment
Commitment to maintaining a respectful, nonjudgmental, and supportive atmosphere
