Are you an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal with a strong background in Estate Administration? LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Trust & Estate Paralegal for our client located in New York, NY. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting & filing probate and administration petitions; assisting fiduciaries with estate administration.
- Prepare & file federal (Form 706) and state level estate tax returns, including: asset valuation, beneficiary distribution, and closing letter requests.
- Prepare Corporate Filings (LLCS, Corps., Foundations, etc.)
- Draft & file documents necessary for the formation and governance of entities, including related state and federal compliance filing (i.e.: annual reports Beneficial Owner Information reports, etc.).
- Prepare and file gift tax returns (Form 709).
- Track client gifting and reporting requirements for gift tax returns and draft & file the same.
- Draft loan docs, calculate interest & annuity payments.
- Effectively communicate & coordinate estate planning action items with clients, family offices, accounting firms, and banking teams.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years or more of relevant experience.
- A bachelors degree and/or a paralegal certification.
