LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly organized and experienced Immigration Paralegal with a strong background in I-9 compliance for a confidential client. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic legal team and contribute to critical immigration processes.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and audits of I-9 forms to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  • Maintain and organize immigration case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
  • Conduct legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including affidavits, petitions, and responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs).
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation for immigration filings.
  • Coordinate and manage document production, including e-discovery, and review documents for relevance and privilege.
  • Assist in the preparation of immigration-related presentations and training materials for clients.
  • Monitor and track the status of immigration cases and provide regular updates to clients and attorneys.
  • Stay current with changes in immigration laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate guidance.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an immigration paralegal, with a focus on I-9 compliance.
  • Strong understanding of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures, particularly related to I-9 forms.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software, such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal case management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
