Administrative Assistant
Customer Service & Support
The Research Development Program Specialist/Administrative Assistant provides operational and programmatic support for initiatives under the Research Development (RD) umbrella. This role involves a mix of administrative, program coordination, data analysis, and communications responsibilities, especially related to research and faculty development. Hybrid role.
Program Administration Support
· Lead development and implementation of RD program plans and initiatives.
· Oversee program operations including budgeting, outreach, marketing, and dissemination.
Act as primary contact for RD program information.
Support leadership inquiries and impact assessments.
Coordinate RD meetings and events.
Maintain industry knowledge through research and networking.
Provide financial and status reports.
Manage websites, social media, and communications.
Build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Promote diversity in the research community.
Organize faculty workshops and seminars.
Pilot Program Support
Support meetings, reviews, consultations, and workshops for pilot programs.
Administer pilot funding programs.
Develop funding opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
Manage application and review processes.
Ensure awardee compliance with human subjects’ requirements.
Track progress using evaluation tools and methods.
Prepare presentations and updates for leadership.
Train community reviewers for participation in grant reviews.
Team Science Support
Support cross-disciplinary collaboration and resource access.
Monitor team progress and implement interventions when needed.
Promote new tools and track participation.
Support and deliver related training and seminars.
Data Analysis and Evaluation
Collaborate with the Evaluation team for ongoing assessments.
Track pilot awarded success.
Analyze and synthesize data for reporting and presentations.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s preferred.
Experience:
1 year of related administrative/program support (or equivalent education/experience).
2 years in administrative or program support within clinical, basic, or population-based research.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access.
Familiarity with: RED Cap, Publisher, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Dropbox, Wikis, JIRA, and Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle, Brightspace).
Experience with Web Ex, Blackboard, electronic conferencing tools, and classroom tech.
Basic data analysis skills in Excel or similar tools.
Pay Details: $34.00 per hour
