LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a leading organization in the agriculture and food production industry is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This role is fully onsite and offers an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to grow within a dynamic, fast-paced environment that supports both U.S. and Canadian operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end close processes.

Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Kennett Square, PA (Fully Onsite)
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Compensation: $25–$32 per hour
Reports To: Director of Accounting

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries and account maintenance

  • Prepare and post accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting

  • Execute account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met

  • Assist with financial reporting and compliance requirements as directed by the Director of Accounting

  • Maintain documentation and adhere to internal controls and accounting policies


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or agricultural environment

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
