LHH Recruitment Solutions (pka Parker+Lynch) is working with a real estate firm looking for a Controller. This client is family owned and has had fantastic recent growth. This role is open due to a retirement and they’d like to ideally get someone in quickly for cross training. Ideally this person comes from a real estate firm handling property management accounting and potentially development to some degree.
Responsibilities:
· Month/Year/Quarter End
· Financial Statements
· GL Maintenance
· Supervision of Property Accounting Team
· Annual/Quarterly Tax Returns / CPA Firm Liaison
· Ensure GAAP Compliance
· Some Financial Reporting
· Reconciliations
· AP/AR Oversight
· Looking Out For / Implementing Process Improvement Opportunities
· Journal Entries
Requirements:
· Bachelors in Accounting required
· 5+ years’ progressive accounting experience within real estate property accounting
· CPA preferred
