Position: Payroll Analyst
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $73,000.00
About the Role: As a Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for processing and distributing payroll for assigned groups, both locally and internationally. Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing the full cycle (in-house) payroll process for approximately 300-400 employees.
Entering payroll-related data into the payroll/human resource database, including banking information, tax elections, and garnishments.
Reviewing and adjusting amounts paid for overtime, vacation, sick leave, bonuses, garnishments, training pay, and expense payments.
Processing manual checks, voids, stop payments, and direct deposit reversals as needed.
Distributing and transmitting reports and applicable files to Accounting, Treasury, banks, and tax and garnishment filing services.
Providing telephone support to resolve payroll-related inquiries from rigs and shore-based support staff.
Responding to queries from garnishment and unemployment agencies and providing employment verifications.
Interfacing with the Accounting department to resolve payment and GL inquiries.
Troubleshooting payroll-related integrations and software issues with the Human Resources Information Systems department.
Opening and distributing departmental mail daily.
Performing other duties as assigned by management.
Key Requirements:
In-house payroll processing experience is required.
3+ years of data entry experience.
3+ years of experience with electronic payroll and spreadsheet software.
Experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
Familiarity with Workday is preferred.
