Our client based in the Greater Richmond, VA area is looking to hire an Application/Data Services Manager to join our team for an 8+ month project w/ a very strong possibility of long-term extension and/or conversion. The role will by hybrid (3 days onsite - Tuesday-Thursday).
Candidates MUST be local to Richmond, VA to be considered for this role. No relocation candidates will be accepted.
The Application and Data Services Manager is accountable for supporting and implementing strategic Banking Applications. The role oversees the core banking systems, consumer and commercial on-line banking systems, digital systems, wire systems and treasury services systems. This position will focus on functional areas of oversite including key strategic vendors, Business System Analyst, System Analyst and conversions/integrations. Manager is accountable for strategically partnering with Bank Operations managers and lines of business to drive operational efficiencies through automation tools.
Assignment Accountabilities
· Manage all core banking systems to include consumer and commercial on-line banking systems, digital systems, wire systems and treasury systems
· Manage change configurations, upgrades, integrations and conversions for all assigned applications
· Must develop and maintain a high level of expertise related to assigned applications
· Planning, scheduling, assignment and monitoring of technical resources responsible for development and maintenance of assigned applications
· Delivery of projects and enhancements on schedule and to specifications
· Collaboration on strategic planning, project management, business analysts and quality assurance to build effective project teams and application roadmaps
· Lead and develop a high performing team
· Building an effective team environment where associates are cross trained or can help all applications (training)
· Management of day-to-day, weekly and monthly production support activities (BAU), working with key venders and line of business support teams
· Define, monitor, analyze, and improve application SLAs, coordinating tasks and ensuring everyone is working towards a common goal
· Develop the strategy for growing the use and analysis of data to continuously improve Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators for Bank Operations
· Act as a subject matter expert to effectively partner with project customers to achieve desired outcome by identifying, developing, standardizing, and improving processes
· Communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications-verbally or through written documentation-to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
· Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives for improving processes in operating systems for the department
Organizational Relationship
This position reports to the Director-Data Warehousing and Analytics.
Assignment Qualifications Education & Experience
· Experience with core banking applications
· Eight or more years of experience managing banking application teams
· Undergraduate degree in a business related discipline required.
· Graduate degree in a business related discipline preferred.
· Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certification or demonstrated knowledge of statistics and data analysis required.
Knowledge & Skills
· Excels in customer service, and shows a desire to exceed customer expectations
· Effective listening skills, being able to identify problems and areas of opportunity
· Manages program of critical importance
· Ability to develop and motivate a team to drive results
· Excellent communication skills, showing an ability to work with all levels of the organization
· Ability to organize and facilitate meetings
· Advanced time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
· High level of attention to detail
· Develops complex solutions to business problems or customer engagements through in depth analysis, coordination and negotiation with key decision makers
· Demonstrates an understanding of data, and can interpret and summarize vast data sets
· Obtains a working knowledge of the systems and applications used by the Bank
· Exhibits negotiations and Vendor Management skills
Pay Details: $47.00 to $77.00 per hour
