Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour (13:00 - 21:30)


Overview: LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated Medical Scheduler for a confidential client in Geneva, IL. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth patient interactions and efficient scheduling within the healthcare system. This contract role has the potential to become permanent and is an excellent opportunity to join an established and thriving healthcare company. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Accurately collect and verify patient demographic information.


  • Coordinate with various hospital departments and physicians' offices to schedule and direct patients efficiently.


  • Reach out to patients to schedule appointments and perform medical necessity checks.


  • Inform patients of any issues related to securing their financial accounts and provide out-of-pocket estimations.


  • Adhere to department policies and compliance requirements, avoiding any financial or safety risks to patients.


Requirements:



  • High School diploma or equivalent.


  • 2-3 years of healthcare customer service or medical office experience.


  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.


  • Proficiency in computer data-entry/typing.


  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.


  • Basic computer skills and ability to type 40 wpm.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Additional education and language skills.


  • Experience in healthcare finance and/or healthcare insurance.


  • Knowledge and experience in patient scheduling and/or registration within a healthcare setting.
