Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Cost Accounting
Prepare, maintain, and update Bill of Materials (BOM) costing.
Analyze raw material cost fluctuations and their impact on product margins.
Evaluate production variances (material, labor, overhead) and provide root‑cause insights.
Monitor Raw Materials (RM), Work‑in‑Process (WIP), and Finished Goods inventory valuation.
Perform periodic inventory reconciliations and support physical stock counts.
Track scrap, wastage, and rework costs with actionable reporting.
Ensure proper inventory accounting under the Weighted Average costing method.
Allocate factory overhead (power, machine depreciation, maintenance, direct/indirect labor) accurately to production.
Prepare monthly cost sheets and margin analysis reports.
Identify cost‑saving opportunities within manufacturing processes and support value‑engineering initiatives.
General Ledger & Close Management
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, provisions, reclasses, adjustments).
Ensure proper classification of expenses and revenues.
Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual GL closing activities.
Perform bank reconciliations.
Reconcile inventory ledger to physical inventory counts.
Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
Support tax compliance activities (sales tax, use tax, and corporate tax support).
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Support internal and external audit requirements.
Work Experience / Education / Skills Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CMA or CPA preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in manufacturing cost accounting.
Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost allocation methodologies.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, variance modeling).
Experience supporting monthly close in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting
Pay Details: $34.00 to $36.00 per hour
