LHH is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant for a contract opportunity with a respected law firm in Charlotte, NC. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can provide high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, correspondence, and agreements.

  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate deadlines.

  • Assist with file organization and maintain accurate case documentation.

  • Support commercial real estate transactions, including preparing closing binders and reviewing related documents (a plus, but not required).

  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and other stakeholders.

  • Perform general administrative duties, including scanning, filing, and managing electronic records.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary, preferably in a law firm setting.

  • Experience in commercial real estate law is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Employment Type: Contract

Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience
