LHH Recruitment Solutions is assisting our Morris County, NJ client in their search for a Staff Accountant with a focus on Fixed Assets. This is a permanent, direct hire opportunity. The role will initially report onsite five days per week, but eventually move to four days onsite and one day working from home.

Job Description:

  • Handle the processing of asset disposals and transfers, ensuring all related documentation complies with internal policies and procedures.

  • Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts tied to asset disposals as well as investigating and resolving any discrepancies or outstanding transactions.

  • Supply asset-related data to regional Customer Service Centers to support the resale or removal of company-owned equipment and property.

  • Update and maintain surplus vehicle records, including applying appropriate fair market value changes when necessary.

  • Align vehicle fixed asset records with data maintained by the fleet operations team to ensure consistency across systems.

  • Complete monthly reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Contribute to the creation of fixed asset reports and schedules used by senior leadership for financial planning and decision-making.

  • Provide support for special assignments and miscellaneous projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field

  • Proficiency in MS Excel

  • Proficiency in a larger ERP system

  • At least 1 year of AP, AR, or general accounting experience

  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Detail oriented

Salary Range: $55k-$62k
