This top client is seeking a Degreed Professional in their Carrollton, TX office to manage the AP/AR departments and a team of 6. Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage teams of specialists, setting objectives that align with organizational goals and best practices.
Training and Development: Conduct regular training sessions and performance evaluations to enhance department efficiency and individual employee growth.
Process Management: Oversee end-to-end AR/AP processes for multiple entities, both domestic and international, ensuring accurate and timely results, meeting month-end close deadlines, and maintaining the integrity of the General Ledger.
Auditing and Controls: Audit AR/AP methods and procedures to improve efficiencies. Develop and implement procedures and internal controls to mitigate risk and safeguard company assets.
Data Analysis: Analyze and reconcile complex data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions to optimize departmental and financial outcomes.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, including 1099 reporting, escheat, and sales and use tax.
System Expertise: Become proficient in all systems used by the AR/AP departments, train the team, and enhance processes and controls through system automation (e.g., NetSuite, Avalara, AvidXchange, expense reimbursement).
Audit Support: Provide accurate financial documentation and insights into AR/AP operations to support internal and external audits.
Project Leadership: Lead or participate in special department projects as assigned by management or executive team members, such as system conversions and acquisition integrations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
6+ years of experience in Accounts Payable.
6+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
5+ years of management experience.
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.
Experience with NetSuite and AvidXchange is a plus.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
