IT Desktop Support Technician – Contract to Hire Camarillo, CA – 100% Onsite
LHH has partnered with our client in Camarillo, CA, to find an experienced IT Desktop Support Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is 100% onsite and is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to IT support.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support, diagnose issues, and troubleshoot hardware/software problems.
Install, configure, test, maintain, and upgrade end-user and network hardware, peripheral devices, and software.
Conduct research and recommend hardware products for procurement and development.
Perform on-site and remote troubleshooting for end users, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues.
Manage and maintain a client database with updated solutions and documentation.
Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, and work orders.
Assist in system improvements and provide recommendations to senior IT leadership.
Deploy, relocate, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT-related devices.
Collaborate with technology team members to optimize desktop computing environments.

Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in an IT support/help desk role.
Associate degree or higher in Computer Science (preferred).
Relevant IT certifications such as A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications (preferred).
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, PC hardware, mobile devices, and other tech products.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
Experience providing remote support via phone and remote-control applications.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Must be highly organized, solutions-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance required.
