HR Generalist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an HR Generalist with 2 years of experience in a similar position. This is a Temporary role, located in Bronx NY.
Responsibilities:
Administer and track all employee leaves including FMLA, ADA, parental, personal, military, and other statutory or company-sponsored leaves
Act as the primary contact for employees and managers regarding leave policies, procedures, and status updates
Coordinate with third-party administrators and insurance providers to ensure accurate processing of leave claims
Maintain detailed and confidential leave records in HRIS and other tracking systems
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws and internal policies
Provide timely communication and documentation to employees regarding eligibility, rights, and responsibilities
Monitor return-to-work dates and coordinate accommodations or transitional work plans as needed
Assist in audits and reporting related to LOA metrics and compliance
Support the administration of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and union-related processes
Track and document grievances, disciplinary actions, and arbitration cases
Schedule and coordinate labor meetings, hearings, and investigations
Maintain labor relations files and ensure accurate recordkeeping
Assist in preparing reports and summaries for union negotiations and labor strategy sessions
Collaborate with HR leadership and legal counsel on labor-related matters
Help draft and distribute union communications and updates
Monitor labor trends and assist in proactive labor relations initiatives
Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee status changes
Support HR compliance efforts including audits, reporting, and policy updates
Participate in employee engagement, wellness, and training programs
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive HR matters
Qualifications:
Proficient with Excel and HRIS/ATS
Worksite: On-Site

Salary: $28-30/hr
Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
