HR Generalist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an HR Generalist with 2 years of experience in a similar position. This is a Temporary role, located in Bronx NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and track all employee leaves including FMLA, ADA, parental, personal, military, and other statutory or company-sponsored leaves

  • Act as the primary contact for employees and managers regarding leave policies, procedures, and status updates

  • Coordinate with third-party administrators and insurance providers to ensure accurate processing of leave claims

  • Maintain detailed and confidential leave records in HRIS and other tracking systems

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws and internal policies

  • Provide timely communication and documentation to employees regarding eligibility, rights, and responsibilities

  • Monitor return-to-work dates and coordinate accommodations or transitional work plans as needed

  • Assist in audits and reporting related to LOA metrics and compliance

  • Support the administration of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and union-related processes

  • Track and document grievances, disciplinary actions, and arbitration cases

  • Schedule and coordinate labor meetings, hearings, and investigations

  • Maintain labor relations files and ensure accurate recordkeeping

  • Assist in preparing reports and summaries for union negotiations and labor strategy sessions

  • Collaborate with HR leadership and legal counsel on labor-related matters

  • Help draft and distribute union communications and updates

  • Monitor labor trends and assist in proactive labor relations initiatives

  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures

  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee status changes

  • Support HR compliance efforts including audits, reporting, and policy updates

  • Participate in employee engagement, wellness, and training programs

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive HR matters

Qualifications:

  • Proficient with Excel and HRIS/ATS

Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
