LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Corporate Legal Assistant to join our confidential client's legal team. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a passion for corporate law and a desire to support a dynamic legal department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of corporate legal matters.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with the preparation, review, and filing of corporate legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support corporate transactions and compliance.
- Maintain and organize corporate records, including minute books, resolutions, and other legal documents.
- Coordinate and manage the scheduling of meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for attorneys.
- Prepare and format legal correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and external parties to facilitate corporate legal processes.
- Support the due diligence process for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of regulatory documents with government agencies.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, document management, and office organization.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, preferably in a corporate legal environment.
- Strong understanding of corporate law and legal procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Familiarity with corporate governance and compliance requirements.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
