LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Sales Tax Accountant for one of our top customers located in Alameda, California. This position is hybrid and in-office 2 days a week. The ideal candidate will have experience with food taxation or experience with property tax. This position will report to the Indirect Tax Manager and be a part of a small but mighty team. The role will support the sales tax function of the company, including assisting with the sales tax audit, weekly review of the SKU’s and associated Avalara tax code/classification, research sales tax issues, and work on other projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
- Experience with Sales Tax and/or Property Tax would be preferred
- Industry experience in retail, consumer packaged goods or food would be nice to have
- Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Outlook, Excel – Intermediate/Advanced)
- Strong communications (verbal & written)
- Detailed, comfortable with research, organized, and thorough
- Team player, inquisitive nature, and diligent

Experience: 2/3 years accounting experience (Sales Tax Accountant, Sales Tax Analyst, Staff Accountant)
Employment Type: Temporary (3 to 4 months)

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
