LHH is looking for a detail-oriented Labor and Employment Paralegal with at least 5 years of civil litigation experience, to join a reputable law firm onsite at their office in Addison, TX. In this role, the paralegal will assist attorneys with workplace-related legal matters by managing case files, drafting documents, conducting legal research, and coordinating discovery.
Benefits:
- Annual salary range of $60,000 to $70,000
- 80 hours of vacation and 80 hours of personal time for the first five years
Responsibilities:
- Manage case files, draft documents, and conduct legal research
- Coordinate discovery and assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Communicate daily with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, and courts
- Prepare and organize demonstrative evidence for trial
- Conduct factual investigations, including witness interviews
- Manage electronically stored information (ESI) using platforms like Logikcull and Relativity
- Monitor and track critical deadlines using CompuLaw
- Perform legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other tools
- Log billable hours using software such as Juris Suite
- Draft discovery requests and responses, motions, and proposed orders
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certification
- Minimum of 5 years of related litigation experience required
- Extensive knowledge of Texas Civil Rules of Procedure, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, and Rules of Evidence
