Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor - Level 7


Location: North East Scotland Salary: c. £600pd Contract Type: 6 month contract


A major infrastructure programme is seeking a highly capable Quantity Surveyor (Level 7) to provide expert commercial and contractual support across a portfolio of complex construction projects. This role is critical to ensuring financial control, contractual compliance, and successful project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead commercial support for project management teams.
  • Manage multiple contracts and ensure alignment with governance frameworks.
  • Oversee financial forecasting and spend tracking.
  • Support risk management and maintain project risk registers.
  • Evaluate tenders and lead contract negotiations.
  • Resolve disputes with professionalism and strategic insight.
  • Mentor and support junior Quantity Surveyors.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:


  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience in large-scale construction projects; utilities sector experience desirable.
  • Proficiency in NEC Two Stage ECI, NEC 3 & 4 (Options A, C & E).
  • Chartered status (MRICS) preferred.
  • Strong leadership and contract management capabilities.
  • Proven experience managing Quantity Surveyors.
