Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor - Level 7
Location: North East Scotland Salary: c. £600pd Contract Type: 6 month contract
A major infrastructure programme is seeking a highly capable Quantity Surveyor (Level 7) to provide expert commercial and contractual support across a portfolio of complex construction projects. This role is critical to ensuring financial control, contractual compliance, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead commercial support for project management teams.
- Manage multiple contracts and ensure alignment with governance frameworks.
- Oversee financial forecasting and spend tracking.
- Support risk management and maintain project risk registers.
- Evaluate tenders and lead contract negotiations.
- Resolve disputes with professionalism and strategic insight.
- Mentor and support junior Quantity Surveyors.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Experience in large-scale construction projects; utilities sector experience desirable.
- Proficiency in NEC Two Stage ECI, NEC 3 & 4 (Options A, C & E).
- Chartered status (MRICS) preferred.
- Strong leadership and contract management capabilities.
- Proven experience managing Quantity Surveyors.
