Job Title: Corporate & Commercial Solicitor


Location: Southampton Salary: £57,500+ Term: Permanent Working Hours: 5 Days / 35 Hours per week PQE: NQ - 3


Our client, a prominent law firm with a strong commitment to client service, is seeking a talented Corporate & Commercial Solicitor to join their dynamic team in Southampton. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of mid-market clients, providing expert legal strategies tailored to their unique needs.


About the Role:

As a member of the Corporate & Commercial team, you will assist and advise clients on all aspects of company law, including private company mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, management buyouts (MBOs), joint ventures, and investor/shareholder agreements. You will also engage in drafting articles of association, handling demergers, company reconstructions, and reorganisations.


This position offers exposure to AIM flotations, takeovers, and various public company matters, alongside commercial lending and financing transactions. You will have the opportunity to work with acquirers, private equity and VCT funds, management teams, and other stakeholders, contributing to significant deals in the Solent and Thames Valley region.


Who We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have completed a seat in a Corporate & Commercial team or possess relevant experience of up to 3 years PQE in a corporate environment. You should be confident in handling the full range of corporate processes and demonstrate a strong understanding of company law. A 2:1 degree or higher is preferred, along with admission to the Solicitor Roll.
