Our client, a well-respected law firm serving mid-market clients, is seeking a Corporate & Commercial Senior Associate to join their dynamic team in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and technically strong lawyer with 4-7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to advance their career in a supportive and friendly environment.
About the Role:
As a Senior Associate in the Corporate & Commercial department, you will play a key role in advising a diverse range of UK and international clients, including fast-growing start-ups, SMEs, and listed companies. You will work on a variety of corporate transactions, including:
- Mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
- Private equity transactions
- Management buyouts (MBOs) and management buy-ins (MBIs)
- Joint ventures and investor/shareholder agreements
- Company reconstructions and reorganisations
In addition, you will have the opportunity to engage with AIM flotations, public company work, and commercial lending. The firm has a strong track record of being involved in notable transactions in the Solent and Thames Valley region, providing you with a chance to work on high-profile deals.
Who We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 4 years PQE in a corporate team
- A strong academic background (2:1 degree or higher preferred)
- Confidence in handling the full spectrum of corporate processes
- A collaborative spirit and a desire to work in a close-knit team
