Interim Senior Financial Accountant

Day Rate: £400 to £450 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Location: Oxford area - hybrid working available

Start date: 5th January 2026

Duration: 4 months (potential to extend)

We are partnering with a truly unique business comprising multiple entities to recruit an experienced Interim Senior Financial Accountant. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in financial accounting and audit will be pivotal in delivering a smooth year-end close and managing the statutory audit process.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory account workings and ensure adherence to internal deadlines
• Submit year-end trial balances and supporting documentation to auditors
• Review draft financial statements for accuracy and consistency
• Support the Finance Director in managing the statutory audit process
• Act as a key liaison for external auditors, handling queries and fieldwork
• Ensure timely submission of audited accounts to Companies House and relevant authorities

About You

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in financial accounting, audit, and year-end close
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills
• Confident communicator with experience managing external audit relationships
• Available at short notice and ready to hit the ground running
