Category Manager - Grocery (4-Month FTC)
Hybrid (Home & Office)
We're seeking an experienced Category Manager to join a high-performing FMCG business, working on leading grocery accounts with a focus on Asda and Sainsbury's. This role will see you using your analytical skills and category insight expertise to drive growth, identify opportunities, and shape customer strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage category relationships with major grocery accounts, tailoring strategies to drive mutual growth
Analyse Nielsen and other data sources to generate actionable insights
Identify category opportunities, risks, and performance gaps to inform commercial decisions
Support account teams with category rationale for range, promotions, and NPD
Lead category-focused projects such as range optimisation and promotional deep dives
Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and insight teams to deliver strategic initiatives
About You:
Proven category management experience in FMCG (4+ years), ideally within the grocery sector
Strong understanding of grocery retail market dynamics
Confident in using Nielsen analytics to inform decision-making
Able to translate data into compelling selling stories
Collaborative team player who thrives in a friendly yet high-performing culture
Comfortable working on short-term projects with immediate impact
Contract Details:
4-month FTC with potential for extension
Hybrid working arrangement
Two-stage interview process (chemistry call + competency-based interview)
