Our client is currently seeking an experienced Lead HR Business Partner to join their Leadership Team in Derbyshire. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic HR support, guidance, and governance across their factory and warehouse operations.


As a key partner to site leaders, you will drive organisational change, transformation initiatives, and workforce optimisation to enhance operational efficiency and employee engagement. Your expertise in TUPE, Mergers & Acquisitions, and large-scale change management will be instrumental in ensuring smooth transitions and integration during periods of business growth and transformation.

Responsibilities:


As the HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for partnering with site leaders as their trusted advisor and supporting them in all HR-related matters. Some of your key responsibilities will include:


  • Supporting the successful execution of the HR strategy across the site.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for any employee relations issues, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
  • Collaborating with trade union representatives at both local and national levels.
  • Ensuring the understanding, embedding, and delivery of performance and talent management activities.
  • Driving the development of people managers' capabilities, specifically in the area of people development.
  • Working with the wider HR team to enhance HR practises and processes.
  • Developing capabilities to ensure easy and efficient access to HR solutions for all employees.
  • Coaching and developing leaders and managers.

Requirements:


To be successful in this role, you should have:


  • Proven experience in operational HR, with a strong knowledge of core HR processes such as performance management, talent management, recruitment & resourcing, employee relations, employment law, and organisational change.
  • Experience in case management and exposure to employee relation issues.
  • Ideally, experience in a manufacturing or other "blue-collar" environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build excellent relationships with trade union partners.
  • Working knowledge of UK Employment Legislation.
