We're looking for an Accountant to join a small, collaborative finance team based in London (W6).
This role offers real variety and ownership, supporting the recording, analysis and reporting of financial information to ensure accuracy, compliance and strong decision‑making.
The position is hybrid, with three days in the office and two days working from home.
In this role, you will be responsible for posting payments, receipts and AP invoices (Purchases & Opex), maintaining daily accounting records, keeping bank ledgers up to date and completing monthly bank reconciliations.
You will lead cash collection activities and follow up on outstanding invoices, manage master data (products, vendors, customers), and support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close.
You will also prepare balance sheet and P&L variance analysis, ensure accurate revenue recognition in coordination with logistics, perform intercompany reconciliations, monitor weekly cash positions, support group reporting requirements, prepare payment runs and review AP accuracy.
Additional responsibilities include credit control, preparing credit reports, assisting with VAT returns and tax compliance, supporting internal/external audits, contributing to budgeting and forecasting, participating in finance meetings, cross‑department collaboration and responding promptly to accounting queries.
To succeed in this role, you should be part‑qualified or newly qualified (ACCA/CIMA) with 3-5 years of accounting/finance experience. You will need strong SAP ERP skills (FICO module an advantage), advanced Excel/MS Office proficiency, and solid experience in reconciliations, variance analysis and month‑end processes. We are looking for someone detail‑oriented, organised, proactive, adaptable and confident working in a multicultural team with strong communication skills.
The package includes a 20% annual bonus, hybrid working, commuting allowance, 27 days' holiday (rising to 30 after 5 years) plus office closure over Christmas and New Year, gym membership reimbursement, a 9% employer pension contribution, private family medical cover, life assurance, an annual full medical check and enhanced maternity/paternity/spouse leave.
