Head of Transactional Finance

Remuneration:

Annual salary from £70,000 to £90,000

Contract Details:

Permanent, Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire the transactional finance teams-Sales Invoicing, Credit Control, and Accounts Payable (approximately 35 people).
• Set clear objectives, conduct regular one-on-ones, and provide ongoing support to your team.
• Oversee the integration of acquisitions into transactional finance processes seamlessly.
• Drive continuous improvement in internal processes and implement new controls as necessary.
• Ensure strict adherence to finance policies and procedures throughout the organisation.
• Collaborate with auditors and maintain open communication with key stakeholders.
• Manage day-to-day operations, including performance reviews and objective setting for your teams.
• Contribute to cash forecasting efforts through accurate data collation.
• Review aged debt and manage bad debt provisions effectively.
• Own and oversee the SAP Concur expenses processes.
• Handle the incentive payments process and engage in ad hoc project work as needed.
• Provide day-to-day support and training on financial changes to empower your teams.

Person Specification

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant or equivalent experience.
• Proven background in sales invoicing, credit control, and accounts payable.
• Experience managing a large team effectively.
• Strong MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
• Familiarity with financial systems and a track record of implementing improvements.
• Previous experience with SAP B1 and managing change within finance and the broader business is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a flexible, can-do attitude.
• Willingness to travel to the Head Office and other sites across the UK as needed.
