Join Our Client's Team as a Credit Controller.


Are you a detail-oriented financial professional with a flair for client communication? We are seeking a motivated Credit Controller to join our client's finance team based in central Birmingham, for a temporary full-time role lasting 3 months (potentially longer). If you have a passion for numbers, a strong sense of organisation, and excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you.


Role Overview:


As a Credit Controller, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of credit control, ensuring our clients are promptly supported and payments are collected efficiently. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining a tidy ledger while providing exceptional service to both clients and team members.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Continually review and enhance the firm's credit control procedures.
  • Manage outstanding fees and contact clients regarding payments.
  • Maintain an organised ledger, ensuring accurate allocation of payments.
  • Send out statements and promote regular direct debits for clients.
  • Initiate proceedings for outstanding debts when necessary.
  • Provide the Finance Manager with monthly provisions for bad debts.
  • Monitor credit limits in consultation with client Partners.
  • Stay updated with new credit management procedures and techniques.
  • Prepare and action monthly direct debit collections.

What We're Looking For:


  • Proven experience in Credit Control within a finance environment.
  • Strong numerical skills for reconciling individual client accounts.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and credit control software.
  • Excellent communication skills to maintain effective relationships with clients and team members.
  • High attention to detail and proactive time management abilities.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support fellow staff members.
