They're seeking an enthusiastic and strategic Head of Sales to join their dedicated team and lead their revenue growth efforts.
Purpose of the Role:
As the Head of Sales, you will be at the forefront of shaping the commercial direction. This strategic leadership role involves driving the revenue growth strategy and leading the Sales team to forge corporate partnerships, secure sponsorships, and explore new business development opportunities across diverse sectors. Your insights will play a vital role in ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a dynamic commercial sales strategy aligned with the organisation's goals.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing Sales team, fostering continuous professional growth and setting clear KPIs.
- Identify and cultivate fresh revenue opportunities through innovative sponsorships, partnerships, and membership growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across relevant industries.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, membership, events, and product teams to harmonise sales strategies with business objectives.
- Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic commercial decisions.
- Monitor performance metrics and provide regular updates to the executive leadership team.
- Represent the organisation externally at industry events, showcasing your thought leadership.
Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience in a senior B2B sales or commercial role, ideally within education, charity, membership, or maritime industries.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering successful sales strategies while exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience leading and managing a high-performing sales team.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate market insights into business opportunities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence at senior levels, including C-suite and board-level stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Experience in or an understanding of the education, maritime or a not-for-profit.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and data-driven sales reporting.
- Experience implementing sales methodologies, training and development.
